About ARTerrace

Craft stories connected by purchasing works

ARTerrace’s goal is not only to provide a market for buying and selling traditional crafts, but also to enhance the value of Japanese traditional culture, protect cultural heritage, and convey its beauty to the world. The crafts you purchase from ARTerrace will bring smiles to the faces of future craft fans.

A portion of the purchase price on ARTerrace will be used to generate NFTs of traditional crafts, and ledger management using NFT will allow traditional crafts fans around the world to easily view information on artists and works. It will be. This will provide an opportunity for many people to enjoy and fall in love with the beauty of Japan’s traditional culture and crafts.

This initiative is an attempt not only to preserve the value of traditional crafts, but also to elevate them to the value of modern and universal culture. Beyond the boundaries of digital and analog, at the intersection of old and new beauty, ARTerrace breathes new life into traditional crafts. More than just a transaction, it has the potential to be a cultural dialogue, providing each purchaser with an opportunity to play the role of a cultural transmitter.

We believe that the existence of the ARTerrace platform will allow us to respond to changes in the environment surrounding traditional crafts, actively shape its flow, and lead to a prosperous future. The fusion of art and technology is an important step in properly evaluating Japan’s traditional culture and adapting it to the next generation.

In addition, in order to achieve the mission of “securely and permanently storing all important data and making it accessible”, which was difficult with conventional technology, ARTerrace uses blockchain and WEB3.0 technology for permanent storage. We are hiring uploaders. Your data is stored in decentralized blockchain storage, and unlike other services, you can store your data forever with a one-time payment rather than a subscription model.

Through ARTerrace’s efforts, we aim to further develop Japanese traditional crafts across oceans and across time. Let’s connect the beauty of Japan to the future with us.

[Japanese Culture Promotion Event in New York] Special Panel Discussion by Living National Treasures

On June 3rd, during its world cruise, the Asuka II docked in New York and hosted a Japanese culture promotion event on board. This event invited local art enthusiasts, influential figures in the American arts and culture scene, museum officials, and media representatives to experience Japan’s traditional craft works. The highlight of the event was a special panel discussion featuring two Living National Treasures: Mr. Murose, a master of Makie lacquer art, and Mr. Okura, a master of Noh theater. This rare and luxurious opportunity, seldom realized even in Japan, was moderated by former Commissioner for Cultural Affairs, Seiichi Kondo, and Monica, the Japanese art curator from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who delved into the essence of Japanese culture and the two masters’ profound artistry.

Please enjoy this valuable panel discussion.
